Forest fires in Antalya

On July 29th, a forest fire broke out in the Manavgat region.
In total, more than 100 fires were registered on the Turkish Riviera.

Firefighters, military personnel, volunteers and several land and air mesh took part in fighting the fire.

Many people have been evacuated from their homes.

The flames in the woods were a great threat to numerous animal species. In the Antalya region alone, around 11,870 animal species were in great danger. 1,421 of them only occur there.

These days, many people actively helped the victims of the fire with necessary medicines, water, food.
This terrible natural disaster has shown us once again how important it is for all people to unite.

The danger is over.

Head of State Recep Erdogan said,

The government pledges to restore homes to the victims of the fire, to relieve them of paying existing loans and debts, and to help restore agricultural land.
