Important news for all property buyers in Turkey.
On October 16, 2023, new regulations for issuing residence permits based on the purchase of real estate came into force.
In order to obtain a residence permit (with the reason of acquiring real estate), the purchase of a property with an appraisal and a cadastral value of at least 200,000 US dollars is required. The cadastral value must be recorded in the title deed (Tapu) in the TL equivalent.
When submitting documents for a residence permit (with the reason of acquiring real estate), you must attach the bank proof (DAB) confirming the currency exchange to the Turkish lira.
Real estate with a land register entry before October 16, 2023 is not subject to the above-mentioned changes.
